Overview

Part 3 of the Postgraduate Conducting Mentoring Programme is designed for the peak of the audition season. Running from January to March 2026, it provides focused, practical preparation for postgraduate auditions, competitions, and professional opportunities.

Each participant receives tailored one-to-one mentoring focused on repertoire preparation, communication under pressure, and artistic confidence — ensuring you approach every audition with clarity and individuality.

  • Six individual 60-minute sessions (online or in person, Central London)
  • Live group Q&A with Sian Edwards, Head of Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music (date TBC)
  • Archive access to Toby Purser’s interview, Head of Conducting at the Royal College of Music
  • Detailed guidance on repertoire, audition presentation, and interview skills
  • Mock audition preparation and personalised feedback on conducting videos
  • Ongoing email support throughout the programme

Why Work With Jonathan

Jonathan Mann has conducted orchestras including the Ulster Orchestra, Chineke! Orchestra, Thailand Philharmonic, Seongnam Philharmonic, Krakow Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra, and Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble.

He is the Artistic Director of the International Conducting Academy and a former Mackerras Fellow in Conducting at Trinity Laban. His students have gone on to postgraduate conducting programmes at the Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and other leading institutions.
